Boston might have a rep for adhering to the traditional, but when it comes to home and design we think outside the box. Here are 7 design professionals whose Instagram accounts are just as inspirational as their real life interiors.
We love Erin Gates' fun mix of décor inspo, her "real life" moments, and those adorable shots of her toddler Henry! The blogger and designer has also added author to her title with the popular Elements of Style: Designing a House & a Life with another book due out next year. She's also the designer behind a line of home goods including pillows and lamps.

New England interior designer and photographer Erica Whiteside has such a well-curated feed, often of well-assembled plates, charming front doors, and lived-in interiors, that it’s no wonder she has more than 10,000 followers. She specializes in flat lay photography—often on kitchen tables—that captures the tiny details that make a place feel like home.

Perfect spaces in perfect pictures are what we see as followers of Boston Design Center, the Instagram account for the 350,000-square-foot interior design showroom in the Seaport. Expect daring wallpapers, patterned pillows, and retro-inspired sofas as you scroll on through.

Their name Koo De Kir is a phonetic rendering of the French expression, ‘Coup de Coeur’, meaning a ‘strike to the heart’. Based on how often we ‘heart’ their pictures, the name makes perfect sense.
Liz Caan’s world is bright and full of possibilities, and her photographs of beautiful homes and inventive decor like a zebra painting (with cameos by her snow white Samoyed dogs) are the ultimate inspiration.
