The Peabody Essex Museum opened its door to 320 guests on November 5 for its Rêves de Paris: A Surreal Soirée. The gala helped raised needed funds for the museum’s education initiatives, school outreach programs and new exhibitions. This year’s gala was inspired by the exhibition Man Ray | Lee Miller, Partners in Surrealism and actors impersonating artists Man Ray, Lee Miller, and Salvador Dalí wowed guests. After learning more about the museum’s 175,000-square-foot expansion and dining on smoked salmon and French pastries, guests, including Rob Shapiro and Dan Monroe, danced to the Manhattan Touch past midnight.
