Tom Bergeron, host of Dancing With the Stars, flew into Boston to emcee Welcome Home! and to help honor his good friend Peter Smyth of Greater Media, Inc. Smyth was presented with the prestigious Charles E. Rogerson Award for Community Service. The event, held on November 9 at Fairmont Copley Plaza, was cochaired by Joe and Carolyn Campanelli, recipients of the 2008 Charles E. Rogerson Award, and Tom and Shelly O’Neill. Rogerson Communities builds and manages affordable housing for Boston’s working poor and lowincome elders, and it pioneered Adult Day Health Programs in Massachusetts.
