Christmas at the Four Seasons: The Teddy Bear Tea
By IRINA GRECHKO
Every December, the “Four Seasons Santa” delivers hundreds of teddy bears to children in need through nonprofit organizations and hospitals.
This year the hotel will collect the bears for its floor-to-ceiling Teddy Bear Tree and host its Teddy Bear Tea at The Bristol Lounge from December 1 to 23.
“The Teddy Bear Tea presents families with the chance to celebrate the season and embrace a spirit of giving. This magical event has brought smiles to the faces of hundreds of thousands of children over the years, from the guests who attend to the worthy recipients of the teddy bear donations,” says Bill Taylor, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Boston.
As part of this year’s celebration, a Kids Giving Back to Kids contest will award five storytellers who have the top “giving back” stories with a cookie-making class at the Four Seasons Pastry Shop.
The young guests will also enjoy the spirit of the holidays with a daily celebrity storyteller, sweet treats, visits from Truffles the Bear and Christmas caroling from executive pastry chef (and recording artist) Tim Fonseca. fourseasons.com/boston
