CAUSES: The John W. Henry Family Foundation
Through that foundation we support the Red Sox Foundation, the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, the Home Base Program, Camp Harbor View and the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers. We tend to focus our giving on support of medical research, the arts, education, child development and charities that assist the underserved. Lately the Home Base Program has struck a chord. Through this program the Sox help improve the lives of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with combat-related stress and/or traumatic brain injuries.
My wife, Linda, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be in a position to give back to our communities. She works very hard at it and has lately been deeply involved with trying to bring a year-round public farmers market to Boston.
