Winter continues to be a boon for food focused fun in Boston thanks to events like East Boston Oysters’ coveted Meet the Farmer event (which just added more tickets), buy-one-get-one bowls at Pokéworks in Somerville, and more.
Pokéworks in Somerville is celebrating its grand opening on January 28 with a buy-one-get-one free poke bowl all day long. Brunches of Boston are hosting a Boozy Brunch party on February 11 with local singles for a day of great food and fun interactions! Despite it being sold out, more tickets have become available for East Boston Oysters' Meet The Farmer pop-up event featuring Jon Martin and his Moonshoal Oysters on January 29. Guests can expect the Moonshoal Oyster farmer on site shucking delicious Barnstable oysters, DJ Ryan Brown spinning music, and local drinks and Moonshoal Empanadas made in collaboration by Louis DiBiccari and Buenas Brand.
Matt Jennings’ New England brasserie Townsman will host its second annual Sous Chef Slam on March 28. In partnership with Cambridge-based MEM tea, 10 competing sous chefs will be in pursuit of a full set of Williams-Sonoma gear, as well as bragging rights.
