Curly, crinkle-cut, cheese covered, or sweet potato, we take our friends in all different shapes, sizes, and flavors. Celebrate National French Fry Day (June 13) with a mouthwatering order at one of these six restaurants.
Everything at this eatery is made in-house, from scratch, and designed with condiments in mind—including their hand-cut fries. If you’re looking for a little kick, pair the twice fried, aged russets with their green monster sauce, or go for something sweet by ordering a side of sweet Bill’s BBQ. 33 Union St., 617-248-8835
The Gallow’s simple poutine is anything but simple on your tastebuds. This gastropub serves up a delicious plate of hand-cut fries, covered in house-made gravy and cheese curds. 1395 Washington St., 617-425-0200
Dig into an order of by CHLOE.’s air-baked, extra savory sweet potato fries. Don’t forget to dip them in this vegan restaurant’s specialty, beet ketchup. 100 Van Ness St.
In order to achieve the perfect level of crisp, Teatro coats their fries in semolina flour before deep-frying. After four minutes, the golden morsels are tossed with a pinch of sea salt and white truffle oil, but what really makes them mouthwatering is the layering of shredded Parmesan cheese and diced chives. 177 Tremont St., 617-778-6841
Double fried in duck fat oil, Shojo's fries are the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Amp up the flavor by making the order “shadowless,” which adds a layer of mapo tofu with beef and kimchi velveeta. 9 Tyler St., 617-423-7888
Shake Shack’s fries are classic. With just the right amount of salt, they will leave your tastebuds in french fry heaven—and the crinkled edges are ideal for dipping. 234-236 Newbury St., 617-933-5050
