Within hours after Sunday's Patriots come-from-behind win against Houston, Tom Brady was preparing for the launch of his limited-edition TAG Heuer Calibre Heuer 01 watch at the Liberty Hotel.
Tom Brady, brand ambassador for TAG Heuer, unveiled his iconic Heuer 01 chronograph.
If you were lucky enough to be one of the super fans that purchased the limited-edition watch when Brady posted on Facebook, “the first 5 people to get the watch will have the chance to join us at Foxboro to see a game and meet up with me later that evening”, you might earned yourself some time with the all-star football player.
That evening, Brady entered the private reception greeted by a warm round of applause. “It was a tough game," he said when he reached the microphone, sensing that the room wanted to hear his post-game analysis of the Houston vs. New England match-up. "They played really well and it was a battle out there for the whole game. We played them last year in the playoffs and it was a similar type of game. Today we got out there and got a lead and started good in the second half and then just sputtered and finally with a couple minutes left we came alive. Ultimately you must score more points than the other guys and we did. It took all 60 minutes to do it and obviously, all you guys cheering us on, if you weren't there cheering there's no way we would have done it."
CEO Kilian Muller of TAG Heuer North American chatted with Tom about collaborating on the new watch. The focus of the conversation highlighted the accessories unique leather strap and its matted texture resembling a football. “I wanted a very simple design, because I like a lot of simplicity," said Brady. "I’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of person as you can see.”
Brady made the special request that only 466 watches be made to honor the Patriots' Super Bowl win last year, where Brady threw 43 of 62 passes for 466 yards. After Brady personally gave each new owner their watch and signed the box, they surprised him with a special guest: Tom Brady Sr.!
